- Verde: le piante, base della catena alimentare;
- Viola: gli erbivori, mangiano le piante;
- Giallo: predatori di I livello, mangiano gli erbivori;
- Arancione: predatori di II livello, mangiano quelli di I livello;
- Rosso: predatori apicali, mangiano quelli di II livello;
- Azzurro: acqua, è essenziale per la vita;
- Nero: inquinamento, può distruggere la catena alimentare.
