Dots & Boxes è un classico gioco di strategia per 2 giocatori, pubblicato la prima volta alla fine del XIX secolo dal matematico francese Eduard Lucas che lo chiamò la “Pipopipette”. Si può giocare a livelli diversi di complessità strategica, dai bambini alle prime armi con collegamenti più o meno casuali fino ai giovani e agli adulti esperti che adottano sofisticate strategie dove termini come doublecross, catena, e sacrificio hanno un preciso significato.

Comi si gioca-Primo Step
Scegliere una plancia di gioco (level 1 per i principianti e level 2 per i più esperti) e posizionarla sulla tavoletta traforata, inserendo i chiodini neri nell'area di gioco e le pareti rosse e gialle negli appositi spazi laterali.
Primo Step
A turno ogni giocatore inserisce una parete orizzontale o verticale tra due chiodini neri non ancora collegati.
Secondo Step
Un giocatore che completa il quarto lato di un quadrato inserisce all’interno un chiodo-bottone del proprio colore e guadagna 1 punto oltre a dover fare un'altra mossa.
Terzo Step
Il gioco termina quando non è più possibile posizionare pareti e vince il giocatore che ha totalizzato più punti.
